Is anyone having problems with getting onto the LDS site today? It doesn't seem to want to know me.

Try this, it should work, Grant >>> I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago. I got the error - 'Cannot find site - failed DNS look-up' or words to that effect. This is how I got around it (works with Windows XP, not sure about other versions of windows) There's are file called hosts It's here: C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts Open this file with notepad Add the following line to the file: 204.9.225.200 www.familysearch.org Save the file. This should tell your computer where to find the IGI site. Hope this helps Grant

Grant, you are a Star! I had a new lead for my long lost 3X gt grandfather and was taking it personally that hte LDS site could not be found. Your http://204.9.225.200 link worked for me and I have now found a few more possible relatives - one step closer to gt gt gt grandad :-)

Hi all, Have also had 'page not available' for most of the day. Can now get in, and search, but am now getting 'the requested resource is in use' when I try to see the full details of any name I find in the intial search?? Never seen that before. Debbie
