There are a lot of Dutch origin names in this area - Ill just check the transcription site see if its on there. Cant see anything - few Tunns and 1 or 2 Tunes _ have you had a look? http://www.genealogy.doun.org/transcriptions/surnames.php?letter=T |

Taking on Liz's suggestion I have looked for Joseph Teun's birth ref from 1857 - 1859. I have searched under the names Teun, Toon and Tune and haven't found a thing. Has anyone got any further suggestions on names to look at or give me a little hand. Thanks |

I think you need to find out more info to base your search on. Start by finding Joseph Junior's birth cer, and then his parents' marriage cert. Liz |

I am trying to find members of the Teun family. I am related to them all on here I am just trying to figure out if they are like my other side and descended from one foreigner. I am guessing the name is Dutch. I am trying to find the family of Joseph Teun in the 1851 census he was born in 1858 in Great Yarmouth though we know from his marriage cert his father was also called Joseph. Here is the the transcription for 1861: Eliza June 1813 Hasbro Josep June 1858 Great Yarmouth in Row 118 Great Yarmouth Southern. For anyone that doesn't know Norfolk Hasbro is Happisburgh. Thanks! |
