More likely Ancestry missed part of a film. On one of their advertisement pages about the 1871 that parish is listed with the rest of Warwickshire! Suggest you post a thread asking if anyone has a CD for Warwickshire 1871, or phone the Warks Record Office to check that it wasn't destroyed some time in the past ...... Merry

thanks Merry, why would a parish be missing? is it the enumoraters fault? or is it just lost? oh well, i have them on all the other census', i know they lived there all there lives cos they are buried there.

Little Compton doesn't seem to be included on the 1871!!!! Just in case the residents had been included under a closeby parish, I used my patented method to check......searched for anyone born at Little Compton in 1869-1871. Result, only two names, both of which were living elsewhere. Conclusion: Parish MISSING!! Merry

they are mary & stephen rouse, and they lived in Little Compton warwick all through 51-61-81-91-01 there daughter--my great gran, ----- married in Leicestershire, why would she marry there when she lived in Little Compton and her husband lived in Long Compton?? she had a child 5 yrs before marrying and was 6 months pregnant when she walked down the isle!!!!!!!!!!!!could that be why? could they have moved to Leicestershire for 1 year?? then moved back? sounds a bit daft doesn't it!! well i will have a look in Leicestershire, if they are not there! they must of hidden under the table when the enumerator came knocking on the door!!!!!!!!!!
