Thank you all. I came, I saw, I looked and there he is, John Thomas Mills as you say. Just got to double and triple check his baptism now, which was all okay until this! Today I renewed my membership (into my 3rd year now) and like you all I supose, I sometimes feel like drawing a line under it! interest much appreciated, Selena |

Could you post their 1851 details, if you have them? Merry |

Thanks, I'm 99% certain of it because of daughters birth and various census info. I already know Thomas's parentage so it would only help me with Elizabeth. I will order if I have too! Selena |

I thinkit likely that is not the right bride.......you are right that there are 7 transcribed names, but one of them is a St George Southwark marriage, that has the wrong page number. That leaves three brides and three grooms. If this page of marriage records was the last from the particular church or reg office then it might very easily not be a complete page. Merry |

Or you can order the cert, specifying Thomas as the groom. nell |

You could try seeing if you can pair off the other couples by looking at censuses after the marriage date, and see if it just leaves YOUR bride. nell |

The FreeBMD database is not yet complete. Because the bride and groom are indexed separately, it's entirely possible that the page on which the groom appears has not yet been transcribed. It's also possible that the transcription has an error or was partly illegible, meaning that it doesn't have the same GRO reference in the database. |

my bride: Elizabeth Coutts Dec 1847 (4 461) Rotherhithe - I want her to be married to Thomas Mills as I have their daughters birth cert. On freebmd there are 4 brides but only 3 grooms (no Thomas). On the beta ancestry thing - no Thomas again. What am I missing? Help Selena |
