I have looked on familyrelatives.org and there is only 1 marriage for Emily Searle in area 2 (which contains Hampshire) between 1870 and 1878. Unfortunately there is no corresponding marriage for Cooper. Liz

i have searched on ancestry and free bmd but have found nothing i have 1 of the childrens birth cert on the census they give diff places of birth Henry cooper B:1848-1851 newport Isle of wight Emily cooper formerly Searle B:1856-1857 2 places of birth for her 1)swindon wiltshire 2)uppington Berkshire

COOPER, Harry, Edward 1878 WILLIS Ryde R44/E151 COOPER, Evelyn, Emily 1879 WILLIS Ryde R46/E45 So, it looks as though the mother of these two was a Willis! Perhaps you will find the marriage now?
