thanks for help ,i found out a bit more history but having no luck with census ,most only found what i had found ,from new info it would seem he was born london city c1876. but was educated abroad possibly france, at what age he was sent there i dont knowe,but cant find anything on his birth in london either ,The young charles octavius didnt come from working class familly his father was poss a millionare, who had something to do with the great exhibition at crystal palace london . he married a lady from europe whos familly came to britain to build ships . charles octavius willson became a very rich yong man he and caroline owned The whitehorse hotel lambeth in 1900 , and later a farm , coal merchants in newhaven,builders merchants in lewis ,a haulage company , a chain of butcher shops, and a ship which took trade goods to europe and brought back lace ect to this country , he died in 1933 in hove sussex , so with this additional info can any one tell me where to find a record of him as a baby ,and or who his parents were ? cheers for now dave

Try looking on Ancestry at the free birth, marriage and death details. They are free to search at the moment. Good Luck Irene

As I said on your other thread, if you get his marriage certificate it will tell you his father's name and occupation, and the reference you need for it is on your other thread. Kate.

Is this his marriage? Name: Willson, Charles Octavius marrying Gabb, Caroline Georgiana Record Type: Marriages Quarter: September Year: 1900 District: Richmond Sry County: Surrey Volume: 2a Page: 842 If so, here he is in 1901 census with his wife, ancestry have the surnamed mistranscribed but if you look at the original it definately says Willson 1901 Census RG13/427 Folio 49 Page 30 94 Brixton ….., Lambeth, London Charles O Weller, Head, b. abt 1875 London, England Caroline G Weller, Wife, b. abt 1876 Lambeth, London Sarah A Adams, Servant, b. abt 1881 Battersea, London Judith J Austen, Servant, b. abt 1852 Maidstone, Kent George H Deacon, Servant, b. abt 1868 Lewes, Sussex Ellen E Hecks, Servant, b. abt 1878 Brixton, Surrey Darry E A Richardson, Servant, b. abt 1881 Maidstone, Kent, Edith M Wells, Servant, b. abt 1882 Clapham, London, England Marion Westwood, Servant, b. abt 1880 Chelmsford, Essex
