Many thanks for that. I have gone on the surnames and there is a man researching my name in the village, and they all seem to be linked. I have emailed him before though, and never recieved a reply so i dont want to do it again in case there was a reason. Have put mine on so maybe someone will help

Robyne, There are Record Offices at Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds .... and from memory they're included on the Suffolk.gov.uk site somewhere. Sometimes though, if it's electoral rolls you're after, libraries do have them - you could always phone the nearest one to your enquiry destination and ask whether they hold them and for which years. With luck you might find that the archivist will do your look up ... but don't quote me! If you're wanting the Parish Chest material - much older than just electoral rolls - then it's probably the Record Office you need. Hope that helps a bit. Regs Jane

Have you looked at the parish records thread. Someone may have parish records of where you are interested in. Irene

Hi, does anyone know the best place to find information for Suffolk preferably E-Roles from the early 1900's? I have tried Googling everything and just cant seem to find anything, just libraries. I live in Hampshire so its a bit of a struggle to get there, and it would be too costly to ask a researcher as im not entirely sure what i want to look for. Many thanks
