I am on ntl broadband and I keep losing it half way thro any work whatever site I'm on. This has been going on for several weeks now ' it goes off for 1/2 hour at a time on good days and sometimes for more than 3 hours. I have checked my avg, firewall etc are doing their job, regularly delete cookies and temp internet files, and empty the bin. All the connections seem OK all the pretty little lights are twinkling as per normal. I am in the Lincolnshire area if that makes any difference. Can anyone suggest anything please that might be wrong or is this happening to everyone on NTL broadband? Thanks Kat:(

To check the NTL server staus go here. http://www.ntl-isp.ntl(.)com/ServiceStatus/ There are no reported problems at the moment. Ring their helpline, it should be free with broadband. Ron www.genealogyprinters(.)com

Hi AE I mean my server I think!!! I have the same problem with all my emails, sending and receiving, it's all down at the same time that I can't get on Google, GR or any other site. I have to go away and do some house work while I wait for it to come on.LOL Kat

A friend of mine had trouble like this-it was because his computer was too far from the main supply line and exchange-they lowered the speed to one gig(supposed to be on 2) and it worked. I would seriously contact the server provider,as recommended by the other chap. Good to see you on here btw.

Kat I am on ntl broadband via the TV set top box. I had similar problems for ages when I first joined them. I contacted them and they sorted it an refunded me part of the monthly charge. Hope this helps. Lynne
