on a woman`s death cert do they use her maiden name or her married name . |

married, in England, exactly the same as is recorded in the index. if a death is registered as Jane Brown, that is what it will say on the cert. no middle name on the index=no middle name on cert either |

thanks i thought i might of found when some of my rellies died on ancestry. co.uk but it has their maiden names so not sure |

Maiden names are now included in women's death certs, but I think the death is only indexed under her married one. nell |
