Hi Merry I believe he was born in Heaton, although it changes several times. I think on 1851 his age is down as 19 on it Robyne

There are a lot with dead father's and several who are heads of their own household......... Cannot see one living with a dad named William? Do you know anything else about him/them? Merry

sorry Merry i dont know much else. I know they are both down as blacksmiths and Thomas' age is less. Could you check in Durham as well, although not take too much of your time up thanks

I don't understand (LOL!!) .....If you know he is down as aged 19 in 1851, why am I looking for people born around 1826??? There are none born in Northumberland recorded as 1832??? Merry

Hi Merry sorry , hes down as 1826 on all other census' and on his marriage cert it adds up, but the only one i found on 1851 previously had the age down as 19. I dont know if its that one for definate so just wanted to rule it out really

Both blacksmiths and Thomas is 19.....but are you sure this is the one? 19 when he should be 24/25 is quite a gap (though still possible) - though I have noticed that whether someone was Of Age or not would be quite important to them............ Mayb he lied on his marriage cert?? If he WAS 19 in 1851, would he have been underage at marriage?? thanks ever so much for that. Because of the age i havent 'taken' him for mine, but im struggling to find any others so want to investigate it further. Im hoping to try and get 1841 for Northumberland or Durham to see if that could narrow it down. On the later census info it has Heaton or Hetton or Durham or Newcastle, so he cant seem to make up his mind! many thanks again, and sorry for the obscure info!
