By the way, that is not what GR mean by 'TRYING TO FIND MESSAGES WILL BE REMOVED FROM THIS BOARD'. They are talking about trying to find the current whereabouts of people who are still alive today. Kate.

Bernice, Massive thanks for finding this. I was worried it would be a case of going through every single district! I want to report it, by as I explain in a message above, I'm having serious problems doing so. :( thanks again

I looked the page up on the LDS and it is the same wrong one! The error has been continued from the original transcription. Anne

Kate and Heather, I'm trying to send them a message, but I'm having serious problems doing so. I've only got a trial subscription not a full one, so I'm not sure whether that has any bearing on this but whenever I try to send a message it keeps trying to get me to register a new account.

Bernice Marsden: Thanks for the offer. At the risk of getting this deleted because it looks like a 'trying to find' message, it's: Thomas Gibson born: abt 1870 Limehouse, Middlesex, England Son 1 Sheedings Garden, Poplar, London, England I just can't see either the street or the family on the page that's returned.

Do send them a little error report. They are usually quick off the mark to correct things.

I have had that problem with one of my ancestors. I should think you should send ancestry a message to report it, but it may take them a long time to sort it out! Kate.

Does anyone else have this problem? I'm trying to look at an image from the 1881 census but whenever I click on any of the names from the transcribed results, the image it shows is the same general Poplar area but not the street/family I'm looking for. but I'm a bit loathe to go through these page by page as there are 40 districts in this area. I'm not local to the area so the enumeration doesn't really mean that much to me. I've also tried looking for 'neighbours' but the immediate neighbours all have the same problem, if I click their transcribed details it takes me to the same image, but they're not there either.
