Hi Sarah, In order to find bmd info from France, you need to know where that person was born, married or died. To apply for an 'Acte de naissance' (birth cert) for example, you need to apply to the Mairie (town hall) where that person was born. Unfortunately the French BMDs are not centralised, so you have to know where people where born, married or died to be able to find the actes. Also not many archives are online. Gillian |

Hi Sarah, It would only cost the price of postage to contact the 'Mairie'. Copies of the records are done for free. Gillian |

Babs.....sorry I don't know about France. Sarah....disappointing, but there's nothing online for Spain (well, a very few odd bits on the IGI and there are some census films available to hire from the LDS, but you would have to know the area and they are not indexed!).....................think doing UK family history about 150 years ago and you are about there!!
