Can anybody help me look for a Charles Davey born Apr 1881 on the 1881 or 1891 Census. He was born in a village called Coleford in Devon which I believe comes under Crediton reg distict. I hope somebody can help. Thanks in advance

Do you have his exact DOB as the 1881 was taken on 3 april 1881 and he may not have been born then

Kelly's post is 1901.... Can't sensibly find him in 1891?? In 1881 I would have expected the pregnant mother to be in Coleford awaiting the birth. After a lot of fumbling about, I realised that Coleford is recorded as under Colebrooke, Devon in 1881. Unfortunately there are two families called Davey living there!!
