Isn't it amazing how quickly they respond to queries, compared to sites that you have to pay to use?! Kate.

I have had a reply from FreeBMD regarding this problem: ''I am mystified. It is apparent that one of my colleagues has manually amended the code on the search page to block multiple selects, presumaby to fix a problem that we were encountering. He isn't available today, so I can't check on what is happening, but will get it sorted. Dave Mayall'' So looks as if the problem may be fixed soon.........I will keep an eye on it....!! Merry

Of course the first thing I did was to try it out myself! As soon as you press control and click on a second county, the first county stops being highlighted. Kate.

The search information still says for counties, 'Select multiple entries by holding down the SHIFT key before clicking.' So perhaps the change has occurred by mistake? Perhaps you should send FreeBMD a message asking about it - if you click on 'Information' on their home page it gives an email address under 'Reporting Problems'. It may be a while before they reply though, as their homepage says they are still digesting their turkey! Kate.

This bit hasn't changed: If you want to do a search in several reg districts at the same time you can hold down the control key and select several districts to be searched at once. This bit has: The same used to be true if you wished to search more than one county at a time. I have just been trying to search Somerset and Gloucestershire at the same time. Took me ages to realise that I can no longer select both counties..........(because you can't see them both together on the list at the same time, i didn't see the highlight vanish from the first county when I clicked on the second) You have been warned!!! (Maybe it's been like this for ages?? I'm sure I was still searching several counties, say, a month ago??) Unless anyone knows another way?? Merry
