Hi I'm trying to trace my gt gt grandparents parents but cant seem to find them. Is the only way by buying gt gt gparents' birth certificates?

Thank you very much. I am subscribed to ancestry but because I've just started I'm still learning the ropes! They were called Horatio Harrison b1873 in Hull and Emma Gornall b1875 in Methley. Horatio's middle names were Percy Randolph Sutton Churchill so he stands out quite a bit!

If you have access to Ancestry, you should be able to find them both on the 1881 census where they will hopefully be living with their parents. Sam x

I've looked but can't find them so looks like I'll have to do a bit more digging!

I have him on the 1891 as nephew to Sarah Burwell. He is transcribed as Oraboria Harrison. I'm not sure whether that is my Emma Sam and Carol as in 1901 it says she was born in Methley but 1881 says Wike which I think is near Bradford? Thank you all again! Bev x

Beverley, as you have ancestry, take a look at the image for 1891. His name looks like Horatio but without the H. Probably the way the enumerator heard it.
