Stephanie ... it's *possible* that 1903 births are complete, but they want to have everything done in duplicate. I remember being surprised to find something that I was transcribing already on line, so I queried it. The ones that come up in BOLD font are dupicate entries. |

I have realised my problem--------was including Mothers surname which no help for that period..!!! Will leave it now until tomorrow. Must get ready for Chrismas party. Hope I will feel like concentrating then. lol |

Georgina, it was a birth. I didn't notice a 'too many' underneath but perhaps it was there. Merry, that was what I expected but perhaps I should try one year and quarter each time. There are too many of my Jones born after 1901. With a name like that I should probably give up !! Thanks for the replies, Jean |

Jean is it Birth, Marriage or Death you are looking for and which county? Jean if there are too many results (over 3000) it will show no results but there will be a message underneath saying too many results. I just searched all events for William Jones on BMD between 1900-1902 and there are 4811 but it is saying no result. Georgina. |

I have been looking on freebmd for a William Jones (Yes I know!!0 According to their graphs the births are complete to 1909, Have entered the details for several years in the early 1900s, but according to them there are NO matches at all. I can't believe there are no William Jones. J in a big muddle. |
