Hi Jill: I too had problems but my really smart sister came over and helped me. We put it inWord Perfect and then changed it to My Documents with a new name. I still don't quite know what I am talking about but that's basically what we did. Good Luck Shiela |

No I didn't - but I've found one called Ability Office which says it has spreadsheets on it so guess this must be the nearest - I HOPE!!! Ability Office continued:- Just put it in but simply can't understand it so will go back to it when I feel a bit more wide awake - OK been up ages but my brain hasn't engaged gear properly. By the way BERYL thank you for your kind message. Makes me feel a bit better. Jill |

Many thanks to you all!! I think I bought the Microsoft Office Suite with the computer - but (whisper) I didn't know what it was !! So now I'll give it a try and hopefully find Excel. I don't know what I'd do without these boards - run up a hefty bill phoning the technician I fancy!! Everyone is so helpful. Thanks again. (Now all you have to do is wish me luck!) Jill |

The free Openoffice package has a spreadsheet that will open and save Excel programs. Microsoft's is overpriced. Thats why there are so many pirated copies around. Bob |

Excel is the spreadsheet program that is part of the Microsoft Office suite. It won't be downloadable from the internet, but If you check on a search engine you will probably find a program to run Excel files. Sorry, can't think of the name of one at the moment.. Derek |

There is no need to apologize for not knowing something. The way to learn is by asking. There is always someone who is willing to share their knowledge. :-) |

It's a spreadsheet package. Our computer came with it, its a fairly standard bit of software, I think by Microsoft so you could probably find it online by googling or get it from WH Smiths perhaps? nell |

Have been reading Paul's board and, like a few others, realised I don't have excel. Can anyone please tell me what it is and how I get it?? Is it something I can download? I feel so stupid for asking but don't know how else to find out. Sorry!!!! |
