Why not order the certificate - it should tell you if Lizzie (short for Eliza or Elizabeth) was married before. I have one lady who married 3 x and her last certificate quotes both previous married names and her maiden name! regards |

hi nell, george was born hedgerly bucks, think rixon was mispelt as mixon. everything else matches so hope it is him jean |

hi helen, didnt think of that as there is only 6 years between them, my nan didnt marry until she was 27 so thought that was the same with lizzie and george. jean |

hi nell, forgot 1837, I dont have them on any census yet as married, my nan was born 1887 so presumed it would be about 1886. thats if they were married. it says on my nans birth certificate mother lizzie rixon formerly clark. jean |

What do you mean by 'bmd'? Have you checked 1837online? Which is the earliest census on which you have them married? nell |

could someone help my find the marriage of lizzie clark brn 1858 to george rixon brn 1863/4, possibly st pancras london. have looked on bmd but cant find anything on there. thanks jean |
