Have you checked the 1890 US census to see whether he's in the Arizona rehab clinic being treated for his addiction???? That's some achievement though!

Clutching at straws here, I knew my gt gt gt grandmother Eliza's maiden name was Nash and that she was born, married and died in Whichford, Warwickshire. I thought I'd see if I could find any other Nashes born in Whichford who might be related to her...

I found just one, John Nash, a possible brother, born 4 years before Eliza. In 1851 he is 47, living in Lower Leamington with an elderly wife, Elizabeth, aged 60 In 1861 he is 57 and his wife, Betty is 33 In 1871 he is 66 and his wife, Mary is 67 In 1881 he is 77 and a widower. After that he disappears. nell

F.C. Yes, that's him I think - he must have died of a broken heart as no one else wanted to marry him! nell

I think you'll find that Elizabeth was 68 not 60 in 1851 and Betty in 1871 was actually 83!!! So I THINK they are the same person (Betty and Elizabeth!). She was a cradle snatcher LOL I have a rellie who's first wife died aged 74 and his replacement was aged 25!!! LOL She wore HIM out!! Merry
