Brian is right - it is definitely Gamuel! My A to Z (for family history purposes only lol) is from the 70's and the one Alan has given you is definitely Gamuel Road. As far as I am aware it is still there (I live in Walthamstow) as is the school, Thomas Gamuel. Maz. XX

The Walthamstow one is actually Gamuel Rd, not Gamnel, probably why you couldn't find it in the index.

Thanks Alan. How did you find it? It's not on Streetmap(.)co(.)uk or Multimap or Londontown(.)com There is a GAMUEL Close near Longfellow Road according to Londontown but I still can't find Gamnel Road anywhere...

There's a website for Victorian London if you think it may be that old: http://www.gendocs.demon*co*uk/lonstr*html Janice

It was an index of London street names changes and those that are no longer in existence or shown on maps. It was at: http://members(.)aol(.)com/WHall95037/london(.)html But it isn't there any longer.

From 1975 - definitely spelt GAMNEL ROAD on the certificate but the person writing it may have spelt it wrong. It is in Walthamstow E17. There was a 'Lost London Streets' website, showing streets that have been demolished, renamed etc. but it seems to have vanished. Can anyone help at all? Thank you.
