This does give addresses, so you could work from that angle in the 1851 census too, perhaps. Sue (in NZ)

I've got several stubborn rellies who disappear on various censuses. Maddening, but I have managed with tremendous help from people on this site, to find some and I am sure if I persevere I will find the others. Keep on keeping on and you'll find yours too. nell

Montmorency

Montmorency Report 27 Oct 2005 19:36

the Cambridgeshire FHS website has online indexes for 1841 and 1851. In 1851 the Limers are in Wisbech St Peter at HO107/1766 folio 444 Ancestry can't find that ref. If you go to Wisbech St Peter and look at District 1h, the description page is folio 339 front, and page 1 is folio 483 back. Of course there's nothing on the page to say what district it really belongs to. Looks like about 3 books are missing.

Thank you everyone who is searching for me. I will be back tomorrow to see if anyone has struck lucky. Believe me I have tried to find them. Just been searching for Thomas Wilkinson born 1810 in Cottingham Yorks. He should be in London Middlesex with wife Elizabeth and maybe 3 children in 1851. Cannot find him either!

Dont give up. Only two ways of spelling Bingham I thought. They were down as Brough! Good job sister remembered Mary Partridge lived with them. If its a small place you can just put the village in without names and scroll through the residents ( dont forget village spelling is probably wrong) Regards Ellen

Right here goes, just a few I have not been able to find. John Limer born 1805 in Wisbech Cambs. His wife Elizabeth c1809, children: Emily 1834, Elizabeth 1838, Hannah 1840, Frances 1841, Lavinia 1843, Louisa 1845, John Samuel 1848 and Rose 1850. I presume that they are all together somewhere. All children born in Wisbech. John Noble Hosier bap.1815 St.Martin the the Fields, wife Elizabeth born c1819 Newington Surrey and daughter Elizabeth 1842 born Newington. Lastly Thomas Neil born c1826 St.Giles in the Fields area, hopefully with his mother Catherine Neil born c1799 in Cork Ireland. If anyone can find any of the above would be most grateful. Pat.

Nearly everyone that I have searched for in 1851 I have not been able to find. They can`t all have fallen down a big hole in the road! It`s so frustrating.
