Claire Did you find this marriage yourself? If so, go back to the IGI, find it again and if it is an extracted marriage entry - which it must be, as it gives you a Batch number beginning with M - click on the entry and it should give you her maiden name. Hope that makes sense? In other words, if it is an 'extracted entry from the registers' then you should get full information. Olde Crone |

Not the most straight forward way but.......if this is them in 1851.. Edmund Stevens abt 1842 Buckinghamshire, England Son Wendover Buckinghamshire Joseph Stevens abt 1838 Buckinghamshire, England Son Wendover Buckinghamshire Maria Stevens abt 1813 Buckinghamshire, England Wife Wendover Buckinghamshire Mary Stevens abt 1846 Buckinghamshire, England Daughter Wendover Buckinghamshire Sarah Stevens abt 1850 Buckinghamshire, England Daughter Wendover Buckinghamshire William Stevens abt 1793 Buckinghamshire, England Head Wendover Buckinghamshire William Stevens abt 1835 Buckinghamshire, England Son Wendover Buckinghamshire Then the BC for one of the children would give you both parents names Esta |

Right. I have found a marriage on IGI that looks very likely but it is pre registration. Now I can't get to records office at the mo, and have looked every where I can think of on the net. Still relatively new so I am not sure what cd's and other resources people have. If anyone will have to pay to view, please don't, I will just wait until I can get to records office, but if anyone has a VR cd or something, could they possibly take a peek. William Stevens married Ann Maria in oct 1833 in Wendover, Bucks. I have a batch no M073771 (not quite sure what to do with batch no, but sounded important) Could anyone find out Ann Maria's maiden name, or tell me how I can find it out? Thanks for looking.
