I can't get onto the site...is it just me? I've been trying on and off now for 4 days and can't get past the first page that asks you to select the country. Its driving me mad and if anyone can get in, would you mind quickly looking something up for me pretty please? Thanks Lou |

Sorry....got sidetracked. You've never seen so much mess after baked beans! Ok....I'm trying to locate the batch number for marriages in Chilcote which may come under Staffs or may be Derbyshire (its sort of on the border) As well as the batch number, I'm really wanting to know what years (if any) are on IGI I've found a very possible baptism for my elusive William Bibb there in 1785. I'm having no luck tracing a marriage for him (nothing at all on IGI that fits) so I'm trying to establish whether Chilcote is an option If the records are on IGI then he didn't marry there either and its back to the drawing board. Any help would be great Lou |

Thanks Suzy That's my man....possibly! Heather That's brilliant, thank you. So Chilcote is still an option then as there's nothing filmed on IGI. Lou (with a big beaming smile now..........lol!) |

No, that's great....cos all I could find were Birmingham area marriages and none of them are him. His eldest child was baptised less than 15 miles away from Chilcote so I'm keeping everything crossed that he may have married there The parish registers for where the son was baptised have already been searched and that drew a blank |

Thanks for looking Sue My William is a weird one (aren't they all!). He married Mary ?? somewhere...I assume England but who knows! Pretty sure he originated in Staffordshire as most of the Bibb's were from the Midlands area. He had one child baptised in Staffs, one in Gloucestershire then 4 in different parts of London. He doesn't appear on the 1841 census for London...only one of the children does and he's in service in Westminster then William dies in Westminster in 1846. He would have married sometime between 1810 and 1815 at a rough guess....eldest child located born 1815 but there could have been others before that who maybe didn't survive long enough to be baptised or died in infancy and were baptised in places not filmed for IGI William is my big brickwall, apart from his death cert and his name on a few marriages and baptisms, there's nothing on him at all!
