Thanks,Debbie and Julie, I'm passing all this information on to my friend. Until she gives me all his birth details I can't do anything constructive to help, but at least I'll know where to start when I do. Jan. |

Yes tell her to contact the agency that dealt with the adoption and leave a message that she wants contact. Also there's an adoption contact register somewhere - think its through lookupuk but not sure now. Also can register with NORCAP Adopted boys tend not to be as curious as girls about finding out about their roots so please warn Barbara about the possibility of not finding him at least in the short term. She should also join friends reunited and leave her details that he could easily recognise as he'll probably have her name and being of an age he could well be on there looking up friends and might just on the off-chance having a look for his birth mother. You never know. |

Has your friend been in touch with the Social Service Department, that dealt with the adoption. You never know they maybe able to help, if her son has been in touch with them already, and is trying to find your friend. |

Try putting a message on the boards asking Jess for help. I know she's helped a lot of people with adoption queries. Kath. x |

A friend (not me, honest) is wanting to try and trace her son who was adopted about 25 years ago, I said I'd try and help her but don't know where to start. Can anyone point me in the right direction please. Jan |
