can you find baptisms online?

If its after about 1860ish, it may not be on www.familysearch.org, but you could try the relevant family history society. nell

Its quite often the church closest to a known address ,so its worth chasing up the churches of all denominations nearby.Libraries will sometimes do lookups if you specify a year at least,or say a choice of 2 or 3 churches.

collete,didnt find grandad on the census as he wasnt born until 1915, his birth certificate just says toxteth park central suex
