hi i hope someone out there has at least two working brain cells as mine have gone to sleep. i am trying to tie up some loose ends then i can give my aunty a collection of all her ancestors ( well as many as i can find ). it is osmething she has always wanted and now she is in her seventies and her health is not very good then i would like to get it done for her. DEATH of john william moulding (sometimes spelt moulden ) born blackburn 1850 lived in leigh lancs died after 1913 but have no date BIRTH of John Broomhead born abt 1817 aspul or wigan or standish (really close together) lancashire. married lydia eastham in 1840 wigan lancs. he died in 1901 in leigh lancs DEATH of Henrietta Barlow born 1890 (maiden name hodgetts or sometimes moulding/moulden - no fathers name on birth cert but a choice of two fathers ) married robert barlow in 1914 in leigh lancs. think she died sometime between 1950-60 if anyone can help with any of these i would be very grateful love linda x x x

Have you got the Marriage cert for John Broomhead, which would give his father?

thanks for that heather i got carried away trying to get all the info down. i dont have john broomheads birthcert and i know i should have quite a few more certs but i have bought so many that finances wont allow me to buy any more for awhile not till after xmas at least thanks for your help love linda x x

Well, here is the marriage, so you could get the certificate: It was on freebmd - do you use that site? The others would cost a fortune to look up if you have no idea of the year (they are too late for freebmd). I think you need to spend another fiver on familyrelatives.org which has transcripts of all bmd 1866-`1920 so you wont waste any units. IGI is on familysearch website - if you go there and onto the search and IGI, you can enter that batch no. and the parents names and see if he had any siblings. You could also look up Thomas and Elizabeth's marriage and baptisms - if they are on there.

heather you are a star. i went on the igi site and the john broomhead you found is the right one . on the family record it says about his mother and father and siblings and i know he had a brother called peers. not many of them around in wigan. so thank you very much for all your help. thanks linda x x x
