Hi, did you buy this from the American site? I have the trial but want to upgrade to the full version

Heather

Amazon usually has it or PC World

is the upgrade from starter to FTM 2005 Ok as well? Does it do all the graphs and trees and things?

Ancestry itself has it for sale at about $42 including postage - which is what about £20? It seems that pc world and amazon still have just the 2005 version for sale. twr computing is selling it for about £22. They all do charts and stuff but if you are buying one, why not buy the most up to date version?

I had the starter version and upgraded to the full version online, I went into 'Internet' and then 'online resources' from within FTM. I upgraded from the free starter edition to the 2005 version so I would imagine you can do the same for 2006. They emailed me an unlock code so I could 'unlock' all the features. Sam x

hi i JUST GOT THE 2006 FTM LAST WEEK AND CANT STOP DOING FANCY TREES AND CALENDERS MAKE GREAT XMAS GIFTS. I UP GRADED FROM THE 2005 COST $19.95 WHICH I THOUGHT WAS,NT BAD BUT WHEN YOU GET TO BOTTOM OF THE ORDER THEY ADD $13.00 POSTAGE. SO ITS NOT SUCH A GOOD DEAL MAUREEN

$32 is still only about £15 isnt it. Though I think if you are upgrading from the full FTM2005 it should be cheaper as the full 2006 is only about £20 isnt it.

I've seen it advertised in the current YFT mag - £20 for the upgrade from S&N Genealogy supplies. Have dealt with them in the past and they are ok! There is also a write up of the programme in the magazine detailing some of the changes. Will dig it out and post a summary for you! Maz. XX

ok ... FTM 2006 upgrade avail from S&N for £18.95. You can get the full version from TWR computing for £27.90, but it only links to US Ancestry for the free trial - not the UK site. Uk version will be out soon apparently. review says ... additions mostly in the background ... edit individual window redesigned - easier to read ... more space for notes and a print facility ... source section redesigned ... Charting Companion included - fancier charts and reports! hope this helps! Maz. XX

The bit that may make me upgrade to 2006 is the sources info being attached to an individual rather than pages and pages of references at the end of a list.
