Do you have any addresses? If so, you might find them on an electoral roll together, which would at least give you his Christian name. Are both of the couple childless and dead? It may prove difficult to find these people as there may well be more than one Mary marrying a Leach. Good luck!

Her maiden name will be on the marriage cert and on the birth certs of children. As you have so little to go on, how do you know about them at all? Can the source of the info you have provide any more? nell

I know her name is Mary and his name was Leach. They lived in Bingley, West Yorkshire and she was born in Wilsden in 1939. That all I know about her.

For all you clever folk out there, does anyone know how I would find the maiden name of someone. I do not know the husband's first name to search for his marriage date. Help please.
