Someone has messed up my tree!! Please help!!!

iI had an extra person on my tree, you wont be able to just delete him you have to click on reset details then it lets you delete him. Hope this helps Madeline

I would definitely get in touch with GR then Michelle. The last thing you want is strangers breeding in your tree! lol Jeanette x

Have tried to edit him off on the old programme, it still wont let me. And now more have appeared, his father and mother Albert Johnson and Hilda Saul. Its really putting me off doing my tree now!!! michelle

Just another suggestion! Have your tried deleting him or editing him on the old tree program on here?

Thanks Jim, I just tried to do what you suggested, I cant 'edit' him off because when I click on him (even to show siblings and partner etc) it comes up 'invalid url'. michelle

Me again! Just had a thought. If you have a family tree program on your PC you could download your gedcom, use your program to alter it, then upload your tree again Jeanette x

Hi Michelle I've had a look in my tree and he isn't there! I would contact GR using the Contact Us link on the left hand side and ask them to do away with him! lol Jeanette x

I think if you EDIT his details to the wife's details, it should be OK.

His name is Roy Johnson b1935 Islington. So now on my tree he is 'married' to my Charles Vincent (who was born1823) and thats why it wont let me put in anymore of Charles children because they are all obviously older than their 'mother'!!!

Hi Michelle These glitches happen from time to time and we usually find that alot of people have the same imposter in their trees. Can you tell us who he is so we can check our trees please. Jeanette x

I have just gone onto the family tree builder and tried to put in a sibling for a relative on there. I am shocked to find that there is a person on there who most definately doesnt belong there and is not one of mine. Ok i thought, just delete it, but when i click onto it and try and delete him it comes up 'invalid url'!! Who is this imposter and how did he get onto my tree. I cant add anymore siblings to it because it comes up that HE is the MOTHER!!! Please help me if you can. Who has put him in there?? Michelle.
