I'm having another problem with the new tree here. My unmarried mother will not highlight 'Add Child' until you have given her a husband. Is this an unseen glip in the new tree? Any remedies? Sandra |

I could do but it doesn't feel right somehow. I shall go into the old tree as I remember you could add a child without a partner then. Fingers crossed Sandra |

I have just done it by using 'immediate family' in left side menu. |

Hi June Thanks I thought it may be done on the old tree and have now rectified the matter. What happens though when we may not have the facility of the old tree to compensate for what the new tree cannot do? mystified Sandra |

Thanks for your advise too Jim Having to look at other means to add shouldn't really be an option though on the new tree should it? Sandra |

Going through old tree or immediate family does allow us to enter a child without naming the father but GR still doesn't allow for immaculate conception - I just added a child to my tree (must remember to remove him later as I'm not really Tolly dog's birth mum!) and GR then invented a father for him called (father) who appears on my tree. |

Thanks fellows I have added child via old tree and yes the box is beside mother with (father) there. Another learning curve learnt! Thanks for your help and suggestions Sandra |
