Thanks Richard, I do use that site but have never really looked at what databases it contains so I didn't realise it had the NBI. In hat case I don't think I'll bother, I haven't found any burials on there so far so they probably won't be on the CD's either! Sam x |

I think that you'll find that most, if not all, of the NBI is available online at www.familyhistoryonline.net . It's pay per view, but undoubtedly would work out cheaper than £50 (cost is about 8p per record viewed, and the search is free). |

It's all down to coverage and luck!! Hubby and I have about 4000 people on our tree at home and how may burials have we found on the NBI2?? Guess.... Well...... One!! (and she was on version 1, anyway!!) Merry |

Does anyone think the National Burial Index version 2 is worth buying? I have been onto the website and checked the coverage, the parts of Staffs that I am interested in seem well covered, however, I have seen posts on these boards saying that people have bought these discs and not found one single rellie. It is my birthday this week and I can ask for any pressie I want, my question is - would these CD's be worth the £50 odd quid they would cost? Just a general opinion will do - my other idea is BIVRI v2 which is cheaper! Thanks Sam x |
