Shcmechal? its german for mitchell. I have the date of birth but searched all night for ref, and i have now been told the person had german origins and check the german spelling. I have googled it a got a great german website for the meaning of names but nothing near this one, Please help!!..MOE! |

Is it ? Mitchell is my main line name...isn't their a famous footballer called Shmikel (cant spell it either!!!) that little wotsit in Corrie named his dog after? WAS this willi a goody or a baddy?Its bad enough having HITLER rumoured to have lived with his sister at the end of my street before the war without finding out my M-I-L was a rellie of thiers too, mind you she lived in this street too, i wonder if she was the sister????MOE! |

He was a good guy who had opposed the Nazis and came back to Germany after the war to become Mayor of Berlin. He later became Chancellor of West Germany |
