Sorry for being late getting back to your replies. Thank you very much though. I tried about every angle possible and finally managed to delete one of the duplicated daughters - very ashamed of myself - deleted the wrong one. So daughter still with wrong mummy!! Braced myself and put in 'Notes' Daughter actually born to Caroline not Susan. That will have to appease me until I can find the will to try again. Sandra who's beside herself with guilt (yes I feel very bad). |

If you delete upwards to the unwanted name, i.e. delete any children and her spouse (if you have entered them), so that she is only attached to her parents, then you should be able to get rid of her. |

Just tried the middle name addition and then delete but it still won't delete because of multiple connections. Square 1!!! Sandra |

I think if you go in and give the child an extra middle name so she is different to the child you want to keep then delete the child it will work. Worth a try. Irene |

I have made a duplication of a child on my tree and I cannot get rid of one of them it seems without deleting all the family connected to her. In a rush one day I gave the two wives of one man the same daughter. I need to delete the child being of the 2nd wife without all the rest going - help, otherwise I may just have to live with the fact I've boobed but I'm not happy about it! Sandra |
