Having recently had a trojen virus I have a couple of problems,one of them now being fixed by the helpfull guys on here.Still having trouble opening word pad document though. I have had a list sent in an attatchment but when I have save d it and then go to open it keeps saying 'unable to load graphics conversion filter' I then continue to next message with next prompt but then get error occured. Advice anyone. Angie |

What type of file is it that you are trying to open? You need to find out the file extension, which is the last three characters following the . (you need to have File Extensions unhidden for this - go to My Computer, select Tools... Folder Options - View - and make sure that the ''Hide extensions for known file types'' box is not ticked). If you still can't see the extension on the attachment, then save it to your hard drive and look at it in My Computer. Wordpad files will probably have a .RTF extension. Once you know the extension, go to the File Types tab in Tools... Folder Options. Find the extension in the list, single click on it and underneath it will tell you what program it is trying to open the file with. You can change this, but make sure that you select a program that is compatible with that file type! Get back to us if you're not sure! Richard |
