Hi, Im looking for a marriage of Charles Reed c1844 and Hannah (possibly Dunger) c1847. The marriage im presuming should be around 1867 as this is when their eldest (as on 1871 census) was born. Charles died in 1875 and Hannah remarried. He was born in York, as were the children, and on the census Hannah was born in Suffolk or Norfolk. Thanks very much

sorry, as an additional. She remarried, so would her new marriage cert say 'Reed formerly .......'?

No I don't think it would. Any children born to the new couple it should say formerly ..... late Reed for mothers maiden name I think. The marriage cert should have her fathers name & therefore surname on it but .... she might be illegitimate and have no name on there. Rachel

Hi Cheryl Thanks for that, but i dont think they were in the West Sussex area. I believe they married in York, or Kings Lynn otherwise that is quite a way to go. Thanks ever so much for looking though
