Is anyone else experiencing problems when trying to do a name search? I am being told the wrong number of matches, or no matches, followed by the list of matches, sometimes with the column spacing completely wrong. Am I doing something wrong, and if so, what? Hilary

You are not doing anything wrong. The problem lies with GR. I have emailed GR with the problem and they didn't understand question. I do lots of searches on part locations: like PORT to cover Portsmouth Portsea and Landport. This hopefully pulls in a few typos as well. But I'll be told I have nil matches - often 11 pages of them! To get it all on one page, I would have to search on PORTSMOUTH and then on the other variants. But if someone had entered Portsmouthhants I don't know whether it would throw half the details off the screen or be listed but not counted in the total.

I have had this problem as well. I will get 'no matches' but see some of the names down the sides of the screen. It does not seem possible to search for part of a place name any more such as 'Staff' to cover Staffordshire or Staffs, or 'Ox' to cover Oxon, Oxford or Oxfordshire. I wish they would get it sorted out as it has been going on for some time.

Thank you for your replies. What is happening is very annoying and I hope it gets sorted soon. Hilary
