Where the Royal Field Artillery based (WW1). Were they attached to a reg' or a regiment in there own right.Forgive my ignorence. Gill

Am linking in to this thread as I would like to know the answer too!! Several rellies were in the Gloucestershire Regiment in WW1, then it also records the Gloucestershire Yeomanry and also the FRA -sometimes with two and sometimes three different service numbers for one person......... Us girls don't understand these things, do we?? lol Merry

I think they were all over the place! I know my grandfather was too old to fight properly but he was stationed at Chilham in Kent as a gunner in the RFA. nell

Hi Merry, the thing is i have three brothers, my grandad and two uncles. Grandad served in the South Staffs reg, next brother Field Artillery and the youngest the Manchester reg. I know about grandad and youngest brother but not the middle one and don't know were to look
