Hi, Have asked this question before, but wasn’t able to let anyone have a copy of the pic – well I have now managed to get my scanner going again and have one that I can email. I am trying to identify a military uniform circa 1918-20, but have so far drawn a blank. If there are any ‘military’ researchers out there who would be prepared to have a look I would be more than happy to email you a copy. I believe the chap is my great-uncle George, but I don’t have any more info on him than that, other than he died before my grandmother married in 1924. Any help gratefully received – have been going round in circles on this for almost a year! Regards Trudy UPDATE Have just had email from National Army Museum - really helpful and really quick - only mailed them yesterday. The uniform has been identified as an officer in the Irish Guards - asks more questions than answers as there are no Irish connection in my tree at all!!!!!!! Thanks to all for your help

Hi Trudy, Have you tried the National Army Museum? You can e-mail them and send them a copy of your photo and they might be able to help you. http://www(.)national-army-museum.ac.uk/ (remove bracket) When you reach the home page, look to the top and you will see research info - click on that and then go right to the bottom of the next page and you will see an e-mail link to: The Department of Uniform, Badges and Medals Good luck! Cheers, Lynn

Go to Yahoo Groups and join the Britregiments group. Some very knowledgeable people there, post the picture in their file or photo area and I am sure someone will be able to help you MB
