I'm sitting here all puckered up! Incidentally, Danial Richards and family are still in Church st in the 1861 census. The 1841 census for Birmingham has appeared on the British Origins website. I think the family you want are located: Census 1841 TNA Ref HO107-1144 Image No 106 Folio No 3\6 Page No 4 Entry No 25 Location details County WARWICKSHIRE Superintendent Registrar's District BIRMINGHAM Registrar's District ST PAUL Enumeration District No 6 Parish BIRMINGHAM City BIRMINGHAM Township Place CHURCH ST Household Number 614 THe household is shown over two sheets. Daniel RICHARDS 45 Spectacle Maker Margaret do 45 Alfred do 20 (Occ looks like Journeyman, but not totally convinced.) Next Page Sophia RICHARDS 15 Margaret do 12 Edwin do 8 Daniel do 5 Hope this helps. Feel from to PM me for further info. This tallies with the 1851 census. Thank you so much Mike. It's a long shot, but I am looking for a Sophia Richards, born about 1822, birmingham. She may have had a brother called Alfred, born about 1819, she is living with him in 1851, at 3 Bull Street Birmingham. But I am trying to find to find her with her parents. There was an Alfred Richards born about 1819, christened at St philips church Birmingham in 1819. His parents are given as Daniel and Ann Richards (LDS Site) This woman is driving me mad! Cannot find her marriage or birth. Desperate to find her parents. Don't worry if you can't find her, very kind offer. Mandy X |
