Hi Valerie Are you sure that there is a horizontal stroke through the F? Might it be Commission Agent?

This is what I found by Googling: 'The commission agent accepts or sells goods for the account of his principal, but in his own name. He is independent of his principal, has a claim for his commission, and, except in France, has the right when dealing with certain goods to conduct the transaction as he sees fit. '

I have to say Brenda and Val, thats what my mum used to call the man from the Provident Association. When I was little he would come every week and collect money paying back a loan mum would borrow for our clothes or whatever. I dont know if thats Vals rellies job, but just thought Id throw it in!

My grandfather was one , he sold things out of the Great Universal catalogue and also collected insurance money, I suppose we call them sales agents now. Kim
