What exactly do you want? You can find the marriage reference by looking in the GRO index for 1921. Similarly, William's birth will be in the birth indexes. There are quite a few on Ancestry civil reg, but without an idea where William was born I can't find the right one. nell

If you want to trace further back, you will need to buy the 1921 marriage certficate which will give father's names and occupations. This should help to trace the families on the 1901 census which will, in turn, show the place of birth for each party. From this information you should be able to get the correct birth cert(s) which will provide the mother's details. Good Luck Merry

Irene Report 6 Sep 2005 08:46

WILLIAM PARVIN SYMES born Fulham June 1894, so perhaps there is only one marriage of William Parvin Symes registered. Irene

Rosi, That's what I meant. There's only one William Henry Symes listed for that time on FreeBMD. Take a look. I assumed you had the marriage cert because you had ages and dates. Best to order that to confirm the father. Crista
