Thinking out loud........... and need a bit of advice ! I have a great aunt ( now dead ) who has caused me a few problems when it comes to marriage date etc....her married name was king so quite common. I have lots of details of names ( Husband / Children ) and other details one of which is the fact that one of her children,a son is possible still alive ( he has sons who are definatly still alive ). Now to find out a bit more about my G Aunt I was thinking it might be worth trying to find these 'cousins'. But not sure where to start..........so ideas and local knowledge need. The last know address was Chessington,Surrey.......what would the best local newspaer ?.......can I get an electoral role look-up on the actuel address ( I have )..? I have no idea about Surrey so would appreciate any help. Esta x ( Hope this makes sense ! ) |

Hi Esta I was born and brought up very near to Chessington, so if I can help let me know. The Surrey Comet is probably the main newspaper, I think there are several versions for different areas. Bev x |

www.kingston.gov.uk/leisure/libraries/branches/hook_library.htm The library has been temporarily relocated, as it is being rebuilt, but they should be able to tell you where the current electoral roll is and advise about local newspapers. nell |

Hi Esta I live in Chessington and would be happy to help you any way I can. The best local paper to use would be the Surrey Comet but we also have the Kingston Guardian and Kingston Informer (freebies) which are delivered to most homes. If you want to send me the names I'd be happy to have a look locally. Carolyn |
