looking to trace my mothers birth mother all that we know from birth records is that she was born in leeds and her mother addressat time of birth was living at clarendon rd leeds ,but her usual residence was mc culloch ave fallside uddingston it says that she was a general nurse , is there any way to to check registration of nurses and if she stayed in england would she have to register with english authorities. the year is 1937 that is the only piece of info we have. very fustrating if anyone has any tips it would be grateful mary |

If you have got your mothers birth cert it will have her mums maiden name on there or find someone with credit and look for your mums birth on 1837 and it will give maiden name next to your mums name Jeanette |

The mothers name was cairns unmarried no father she was scottish checked GRO edinburgh to no avail , joined all the relevant sites in england nothing. my mother was adopted in scotland assume she brought child back |
