Thank you Chris. I had already looked at this family and wondered why I had discounted it. So i just checked again against FreeBMD and it looks like the Mary Chowney for that date (1892) is a Mary Jane, so I think I am out of luck for that one but many thanks for your time and effort. Michelle.x

My great grandmother/great grand father. This is what I have so far. Grandmothers birth cert (date of birth Dec 1915,Horsell Moor,Woking) giving parents as Mary Elizabeth Chowney and Henry Charles Vincent. I cannot find a birth for Mary Elizabeth (and am dying to know who her parents were!!!) I have found a marriage for a Mary E Chowney to Charles Henry Vincent in Guildford 1910 (but his name on the birth cert was the other way round, is it possible I could have the right couple??) Any ideas and any help would be greatfully received.
