How can I make the page shrink sideways, so that I can see the whole of a line without having to use the lower right scroll bar ALL THE TIME? UPDATE Ah -ha! I was inspired! I went to 'print preview' which is set at 75% and changed it to 100%! Sorted!Wish I'd thought of that 14 months ago. Now, how to get rid of all the GR blurb, that's next... Olde Crone

I think if you put your curser on the line where genes starts at the side, on the left when you get <-> then just move it out or in. Hope you understand that lol

Do you mean in Word or just in general?

Hi Old Crone Do you have favourites or history open? If you close that, it will move everything left, which would help, without having to play with settings.

Brenda No, I dont have anything else open - it has been like this since I joined GR lol! I have now developed a sore on my right wrist from coninually scrolling to the right on every line I ever read on these boards - it doesnt happen on any other site. I tried minimising text, but that just makes the text smaller, doesnt actually let me see the right hand quarter of the page without scrolling. Have tried the <> suggestion but I dont seem to be 'catching' onto anything! Olde Crone

Have you tried Ctrl and rolling your mouse wheel?

Nope, spoke too soon - (see update.) It was fine while I stayed on that page but has now reverted to half a page again!!!! Off to try Jess' suggestion..... Olde Crone

Do you know what your screen resolution is? Sometimes changing to 1024x768 will enable the page to fit on the screen. You may be able to do this by Right-clicking on the desktop, then click properties, then settings and then adjust the screen resolution...... Merry
