Help needed to find marriage

Just wondering if anyone could help me please. I am looking for a marriage of Julia S Potts born 1920 in Gateshead. I know she married twice but I cant seem to find either one! Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction please. Christina

Have you checked out the usual ports of call i.e. FreeBMD/Ancestry civil registration and then 1837online for the full register? Sharon

Yes I haved tried the sites you suggested . Its so frustrating as I know that she married twice - even has children but cant find her married name!! Another brickwall I think! Christina

If you know when her eldest child was born, try searching a year or two before this first. You probably won't be able to find her second marriage until you find her first as presunably she married for the second time using her married name from 1st marriage. Did she stay in Gateshead or did she move? Sam x

Sam - I think she had 2 daughters but dont know their ages or names!! Julia is my fathers youngest sister and I have very little info. I believe she lives in Newcastle now but not sure when she moved. Roy - I wll go and have alook at that website now Thanks everyone Christina
