Oops, sorry, went to russtle up some sandwiches for lunch! http://www.multimap(.)com/map/home.cgi?client=public&overviewmap=GB (remove brackets) Type ''Skelbrook Street'' and nothing else into the Find box. It'll come up with two matches, just underneath the map picture, but they are actually both the same address (in SW18, London or SW18, Wandsworth). Click on one or other of them and you will then get the proper map that you can zoom in or out on. Good Luck Merry

you're kidding........no-one else could find it....even I tried on another map site thingy......I couldn't either...I figured if I 'plot a course' for where they lived I could eliminate possibilities.........what is the addy for multimap??? Please..

I read one of your other threads before, but in that one you didn't make any suggestions as to what it could be!! It was only after I saw this suggestion that I found the street. I just also typed ''Skelbrook Street'' into multimap dot com and it found it on there too!! Merry

I see your Edward Knott was a teacher in 1891 as well! Merry

You have answered your own question!! It is SKELBROOK. I just looked in the London A-Z street map that languishes in my cupboard. Found it and it is in the right area. Also looked at the ''Description of Enumeration District'' on Ancestry, and all the other streets mentioned are on my street map in the same little square!! Merry
