Death procedure?

I've been searching for my grandmother, but found out only today that she unfortunately passed away in 2002, and have ordered her death certificate. Could somebody please tell me who I should contact regarding her belongings and will? I think she might have been residing in a hospice or some kind of home. I heard something about a speaking to the coroner; anyone shed some light on this? What's the next thing I should do? Any help would be much appreciated...

Once you have the death certificate you will have a place of death, with usual address, if different and also shown will be the informant and their address and any relationship they have to your grandmother. Contacting these people/places might give you information. If your grandmother made a will, the informant would probably know.

Her death cert will show if there has been an inquest (ie a hearing in front of a coroner) and the date of the inquest. nell
