I have a relative who was born 1930 and adopted in 1931, I have birth and adoptive names. The relative died a few years ago, I know what heppened to one of the birth parents but am searching for information on the other (will have died many years ago). Is it possible to view details of the court order, as it may shed some light on a long standing mystery? Any suggestions welcome................ Thanks Jo

In a word, no. if you have the adoption cert and the birth cert , what info do you hope to glean from the court papers? Jessx

Thanks for your reply Jess Just wondering if there would be any mention of address of birth parents, or ANY other details. I know they are on the birth cert but am getting desperate to know anything about the father. I have name, address and age on his marriage cert, but I'm not convinced the age is true. No mention of father, also unable to pinpoint family on census returns so clutching at straws I guess. Thanks again Jess
