In my old tree there is the full name of a mother - but not in the new one!!! :-) Joy PS Jeanette - haddocks come into this?? :-)

Keith If you click on my relations on the left hand side menu then it will list all your relations. I think you will probably find the first ones listed (in your case potentially 17), will have mother or father listed in brackets - these are the ones that are causing the difference. These are because the full name has not been entered. One of the systems counts all the entries, the other only counts where you have populated the full name. When you populate these ones with their full names then the 2 systems should be in agreement. Hope this makes sense - I've made it more complicated than it really is. Karen

The two systems count slightly differently, I believe one includes an un-named spouse of a named person as a rellie, the other doesn't.

Hi Keith You haven't done anything wrong. There are alot of us with the same thing. I sat and worked it out one night, but like the divvy I am, I can't quite remember the reason for it! lol. I think it has something to do with if you have put Unknown for a mothers maiden name or if you haven't included a parent for someone. I'm sure someone will be along soon who has a better memory than me! lol Jeanette x

Homepage says 997 people and tree builder 980! Anyone else with different totals, or what have I done wrong? Keith
